現在加州有了一個新規定，只要是Single Family Home，一定要裝一個一氧化碳警報器，一氧化碳警報器可以在以上的零售商買到。
California’s Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act of 2010 requires that all residential property be equipped with a carbon monoxide detector when the property has a fossil fuel burning heater or appliance, fireplace, or an attached garage, as follows:
- All single-family homes (owner or tenant occupied) must be equipped with a detector on or before July 1, 2011.
- All other residential units must be equipped with a detector on or before January 1, 2013.
Details:
- All existing single-family homes that contain a gas heater or appliance, fireplace or an attached garage must install carbon monoxide alarms
- CO alarms must be either battery powered or plug-in with battery backup
- CO alarms must be installed outside of sleeping areas and on every level of a dwelling, including the basement
- Effective July 1, 2011
